Michael Franklin

Born in Louisiana, his father’s military career led Michael to call many different locales his home and to become comfortable with people from many different backgrounds. Michael graduated from Louisiana College in 1997 with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Michael currently holds his Series 7, 63 and 65 with LPL Financial and Life, Health and Variable Annuities Licenses. Michael is enrolled in the College for Financial Planning.

Michael worked for a number of years in social services including as a counselor at an inpatient facility for at-risk kids and their families. In January 2000 Michael transformed his passion for working with people into a financial career by joining American Express Financial Advisors.

Shortly there after, he moved to Andrew Dodds’ practice where he helped Dodds Wealth Management Group become a premier financial planning and wealth management firm. Michael oversees new account management and client service. His passion is Life Planning.

Michael married his wife Sue in 2005. Sue works in management training for Starbucks Coffee Company. Michael enjoys rock climbing, motorcycle riding and four wheeling in his vintage 1984 Jeep CJ7.
